You know something? I'm sick of reading negative comments about Rapeboard just lately. Ingratitude stinks. Yes, we all like to have a whinge and a moan about stuff, especially the spam, which in all honesty isn't nearly half as bad as it was up until very recently.

I've just totted up 8 sites that I am a member of. One of them I can't even remember what it's called it's that dire! I counted it as "that really shit site that gives me an epileptic fit every time I look at it".

Two of those sites don't even exist any more, one definitely isn't coming back, one, well the prognosis isn't looking good at the moment!

One has gone from being the largest kinky sex site in the world, to a bunch of wankers arguing about American politics. There is hardly any kink content there at all.

Some of you lot don't know how fucking privileged you are to have this place!

I've been interacting with people on this site for a good few years now, it keeps bringing people back. Doesn't seem like any other site is able to do that. As most people evolve, they lose interest in a place because it doesn't evolve with them. It stays stuck in some glorious past. One site I'm a member of has only been going a few months, and its stuck in some glorious past that never even existed!

Rapeboard moves on with the people that makes it such a fucking brilliant place to be a part of! There are members on here that I've almost literally seen grow up.

I have to agree with Rotter on this.

The demise of file sharing sites like RapidShare and laws in the UK and US have reduced the availability of porn vids and the ability to share the good ones. Most of the vids you will see here uploaded within the last five years are utter crap, which makes it harder for sites like this to attract and keep lurkers. Let's face it.... unless you were referred here by someone else you likely came here the first time looking for porn.

This had a profound effect on all these sites. Add that to the fact that running an adult site is a thankless job, requiring constant attention. Phantom and I closed down KO because after five years we found that we had little or no interest in continuing the daily grind. I suspect Wicked and MyDarkSide felt/feel the same. I know that Toes and the others closed ForceSome for that reason. The owner of SV appears headed in that direction as well and rarely makes an appearance. The list goes on. Even the venerable VB lost all its content and had to start over - it's now a shell of its former self. RB has managed to stay in business because Admin doesn't give a damn about the community and takes no part so burnout isn't an issue.

Even though RB has suffered from problems and isn't what it used to be, for most of us it's our first pervy home. I'll never abandon RB completely and I'd love to see some of the great members of the past come back and join with the great members of the present and future.

So I raise my glass to you, RB. You might be a saggy old tart, but you're still the best around.
