Should MDS quit?

Secondly, it seems there are enough whiny complaining little bitches on this board to make MDS feel that her being a mod is a waste of time.
So..... what's your honest opinion? Vote or post, both if you like - should MDS stay on the board as a mod or quit entirely? Poll will remain open for 7 days only.

Mds always being nice to me when I needed to vent. And this board will never have enough mods for it to be bullshit free.

Though i was against this to begin with as i feel i already know the outcome. I do want people to be honest and while i am still here i will make sure that shit wont come from their answer (I will just delete any posts that have shit starting in them.) I want peoples honest answers, good or bad.

True and i am sure there would not be any shit from mods or members alike but i still feel the fact your vote is on display will influence peoples choices.

The vote is open so we can ensure certain banned members don't rig it. That is the only reason. Whether or not it influences people doesn't really matter - MDS didn't want this thread up and is VERY stubborn, so she's probably already made her mind up anyway. It's only really here to show her that plenty of people do still want her here on RB. :)

I won't vote since only MDS can really decide if modding this place is worth her time and effort .
I used to mod at a public forum I never would again since modding public forums is a thankless task no matter what choices you make someone will be pissed about it.
So only MDS can really decide if modding is worth the hassle and if RB is generally a place she wants to be at.

Of course MDS should stay!:)

If you look at the other boards, they are endless lists of posts "what would you do ..." with pics stolen from photobucket accounts or from somewhere else. This board is different. I guess that's (at least) partly due to the rules. you can discuss if these rules are reasonable or not, if they should be changed or not. As long as they are effective and the mods stick to them, it's not useful to discuss any single ban or warning exhaustively. There is no need for the mods to justify their decisions. Anyway, such a discussion will not change a single decision.
If some members don't agree, discuss per pm. Else this will cause a riot, especially if some brainless, clean, funless morons and others try to light up the fire.
Without the mods and their work, i guess, this board would be similar brainless than the most other ones.
Btw, i'm no small child that cries when someone steals his chocolate. There are more important things in life. So if you want to know what i voted, feel free to look it up.

staying doesn't have to mean staying as a mod though since she could decide that staying at the board is cool but being a mod isn't worth the hassle.
As it goes the choices in this poll are too extreme stay as mod or quit entirely why shouldn't she be able to chose to stay but not as a mod

Modding is at best a thankless job.

The Mods on the board here might not be appreciated by some members, which is of course their right, but like anyone who polices the world, we owe them our thanks.

Without them, the quality of this board would have long ago faded and it would be less of a community of individuals expressing their sometimes conflicting opinions and more just another porn site.

Some people might not like the Mods, but we need them.

Hang around MDS for as long as you enjoy our company. Or come and go as you please. But the board will be diminished without you.

Thing is that this board has been a huge part of my spare life since i joined, so if i give up being a mod then im my mind there was too much bad outweighing the good so i would not be able to handle being a member on here so the poll choices are pretty accurate. If i stop being a mod, i stop being a member and my account is deleted so that i wont be tempted to come back out of habbit.

Rape boards, and sex boards in general, attract a mode of behavior that needs to be checked. It is the nature of the beast. If you raise snakes, you will get bit. If you deal in sex and this type of sex you attract a patron who feels that no rules apply. A good mod keeps things civil. He/she/ it/they keep the rowdy in the rant area so that the rest of the site can be free to have fun.

They will take crap for it of course, and if they cannot then they should not do the job. MDS, that is your call. However, in this arena, it is a decision you will always have to make. Again, the nature of non-vanilla sex.

I support all the mods here and think they do a great job walking the wire between control and censorship. I don't ALWAYS agree with them, but then again, it is not my board. They keep it fun coming here (so to speak)

this member has made a career out of this , it's been old for a long time now . here recently he decieded to start attacking mds personally . but he's been attacking the modding being done since i've been a member in both forms near as i can tell .

Although I *fully* understand some of the grief the mods get from all of the people that want to push the limits. Heck, isn't that what we're all about?? I've nudged the regs myself on occasion, and quite correctly been chastised for it.

C'mon, folks, cut 'em some slack and loose the drama. There's been altogether too much pure shit flowing in the last several weeks, and NOBODY should have to put up with some of the thoughtless threads that have been flowing recently. Lighten up, have fun, PLAY, but leave the nastiness at home. You're perfectly free to be mean, evil and brutal in RP, but I don't see as much of that happening as the kibitzing. GIVE IT A REST!!
